The Shire of Alexandra was a local government area located about northeast of Melbourne, the state capital of Victoria, Australia. The shire covered an area of , and existed from 1868 until 1994. ==History== Alexandra was first incorporated as a road district on 30 June 1868, and became a shire on 3 September 1869.
